Writings

This is the place where i’m delighted to share the sound and video game related writings that i had the opportunity to realize through my academic journey.

The first one is named “The Relationship Between Flow and Sound in Video Games”. It features interviews with reknown professionnals such as Bjorn Jacobsen (DARQ, Cyberpunk 2077, Hitman Trilogy, The Ascent), Joonas Turner (Cult of the Lamb, Noita, Badlands, Nuclear Throne), Christophe Héral (Beyond Good and Evil 1 & 2, Rayman Origins & Legends), Arnaud Roy (Endless Space 1 & 2, Humankind), and finally Paul Weir (No Man’s Sky), wich contributed tremendously to the writing / info gathering process, and to wich i’m forever thankful.

The second one was written as a part of my Master Degree’s in Sound Conception at the Cnam ENJMIN. It talks about my personnal exploration of a very deep and complex subject, wich is the “inflation of sounds” within the video game experiences (from it’s beginings to our current era). I had the chance to receive feedbacks and insights from the talented and reknowned Bjorn Jacobsen once again, and explored some of the remarquable systems and designs put in place with titles such as Inside, Marvel’s Spiderman, The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild… It made me learn a lot in the process, while also making me reflect on my approach to sound design and implementation. I hope that you’ll find it interesting !
